Angelica Nuzzo (born April 2, 1964) is a professor of philosophy at Brooklyn College and Graduate Center of City University of New York (CUNY).
Her book Approaching Hegel’s Logic, Obliquely: Melville, Molière, Beckett, was the winner of the hegel pd-prize in 2020 and was subject of a book symposium by Verifiche in 2022. In the book Nuzzo circumvents contemporary debates in Hegel scholarship, namely the Metaphysics, Epistemology or Ontology intake of Hegel's Logic. Instead Nuzzo looks at the work through an oblique lens, for example in the first part of the book she argues for the affinity between the Logic and Aristotle's account of "poetic action" in the Poetics (7, 1450b).
